Red Cape Teacher: During my time as a teacher, I have seen many students that do not know the powers that they possess and what they are truly capable of. All students have it within them to wear a cape and that is where teacher's come in as they can help students learn what their super powers are.
I began my teaching career in 2010 as a Special Education Teacher after graduating from Syracuse University. I have taught at a couple different schools and have worked with a wide variety of students. There has always been a common theme no matter the setting or student; kids want to learn. When students are in a cognitively engaged culture of learning, great growth can be seen, along with having some fun. This blog is a way to share some of the things I see as a special education teacher as they relate to education, society, and life in general as they are all connected. Please share your comments! Thank you!
